Acrylic - Not currently offered

Acrylic paintings look a lot like oil paintings. They are painted on stretched canvas or canvas board and are usually framed without the need for glass. If you want an impressive, large painting with a detailed background then this is a good choice. Acrylic paintings take longer to complete than either pencil or pastel and are therefore more expensive.

SIZE GUIDE

12" x  10"- Suitable for head studies of cats and dogs

14" x 10" - Suitable for head studies of cats and dogs

16" x 12" - Suitable for head studies of horses and dogs and full body studies of cats and dogs

20" x 16" - Suitable for head studies of horses and large dogs or full body studies of all animals. This is the smallest size I would recommend for a horse and rider portrait

Larger paintings are suited to group portraits or full body portraits of horses or dogs, and for large landscapes and detailed backgrounds.

Gouache Watercolour - Not currently offered

Gouache watercolour is more opaque than normal watercolour and the technique used is different. It takes a long time to build up the many layers in a finished painting and a high amount of detail can be acheived.
